How To Care
To maintain the deep black tones and the crispness of the grey grid, follow these expert care tips:
- Cold Soak: Before the first use, soak in cold water for 15 minutes. This helps the natural cotton fibers settle.
- Wash Separately: For the first 2-3 washes, wash separately as dark dyes (especially black) may release slight excess pigment.
- Detergent: Use a mild liquid soap. Avoid "Heavy Duty" detergents that contain optical brighteners.
- No Direct Sun: Always dry your Lungi in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Drying black cotton in direct sunlight can lead to "bronzing" or fading of the dark pigment.
- Ironing: Iron on the reverse side while the fabric is slightly damp using a medium-hot setting to remove all fold lines.
