How To Care
White-based cotton requires specific care to keep it looking bright and fresh:
- Wash Separately: Always wash this Lungi separately or with other white/light-colored garments to avoid color transfer from darker clothes.
- Water Temperature: Use cold or lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it can shrink the fine cotton fibers.
- Whiteness Maintenance: To keep the white base brilliant, you may use a gentle oxygen-based whitener (avoid chlorine bleach, which can yellow the fabric over time).
- Drying: Dry in a bright, airy spot. While direct sunlight helps keep whites white, try to bring it in as soon as it's dry to keep the blue stripes from fading.
- Ironing: Use a high steam setting. A crisp, ironed white Lungi looks significantly more premium and formal.
